Job Overview

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled Tax Investigations Manager to join our national team. As a key member of our Family Office and Private Client (FOPC) team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality services in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee the day-to-day running of tax investigations and disclosures.
  • Provide advice on tax-related matters to the FOPC team and other tax teams, including HMRC enquiries and voluntary disclosures.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives and build sustainable internal and external client relationships.
  • Prepare investigation and disclosure letters/reports, including reviewing computational aspects, for submission to HMRC.
  • Liaise with clients and other parties to ensure work is completed according to desired timescales.
  • Manage billing and collection for each client in your portfolio.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in tax enquiries, investigations, and voluntary disclosures.
  • Experience in offshore disclosures, enquiries into international matters, and Fraud Investigation cases.
  • Deep knowledge of HMRC procedures, including information powers, discovery, assessments, and penalties.
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build a network of contacts internally and externally.
  • Desire to take ownership of your career and development.
  • CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified or relevant work experience.
