We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting Biomedical Scientists in receiving, preparing and examining clinical specimens.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a clinical microbiology laboratory and a good standard of education (to GCSE level or equivalent). Full training will be provided to ensure you develop the necessary skills to excel in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Biomedical Scientists in receiving, preparing and examining clinical specimens
  • Preparing reagents, stock and maintaining records
  • Performing general clerical tasks, telephone enquiries and post
