About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at Pro Talent. As a key member of our audit department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services to our diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of audit engagements.
- Audit Engagement Management: Take ownership of audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment and Audit Planning: Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Oversee the preparation and review of audit workpapers, financial statements, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact and addressing any audit-related queries or concerns.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting and auditing standards to enhance audit methodologies.
- Talent Development: Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of audit team members to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant post-qualification experience in audit within a reputable accountancy practice.
- Proven experience in managing and leading audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, including private companies and not-for-profit organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards, with a strong commitment to maintaining technical proficiency.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of audit professionals.
- Proficiency in using audit software and MS Office suite.
