Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a passion for logistics and supply chain management to oversee all aspects of inbound logistics, coordinate with various stakeholders, and manage the purchase ledger and verify invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Efficient Logistics Strategies: Design and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Monitor Shipment Schedules and Track Shipments: Monitor shipment schedules and track shipments to ensure timely arrival and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure Compliance with International Shipping Regulations: Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations and UK import requirements, including customs clearance processes.
- Manage Shipping Documents: Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and other logistics-related activities, and manage shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required certifications.
- Develop and Maintain Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, logistics partners, factories, and internal teams to ensure favourable terms and reliable service.
- Update SAP and Report Inconsistencies: Update SAP with shipped items, report inconsistencies, and resolve issues related to inbound shipments.
- Check Invoice Pricing and Confirm Account Payments: Check invoice pricing against SAP and confirm account payments to ensure accurate financial records.
- Address and Resolve Issues: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inbound shipments, including product receipt and processing.
- Coordinate with UK Warehouses: Coordinate with UK warehouses for timely re-processing and availability of stock, and ensure all products are received on time and processed efficiently to meet customer delivery dates.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in shipping regulations to ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintain Company Trackers and Product Management Reports: Maintain all company trackers and product management reports to ensure accurate records and informed decision-making.
- Plan Capacity with Company Warehouses: Plan capacity with company warehouses and flag any capacity concerns to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Evaluate and Select Transportation Modes: Evaluate and select transportation modes, carriers, and routes to optimise delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience in Shipping and Logistics Management: Proven experience in shipping and logistics management, particularly with inbound shipments from international suppliers.
- Strong Knowledge of International Shipping Regulations: Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and UK import requirements.
