HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client's distribution site in Severn Beach, Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering stock or trunking trailers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver stock to a maximum of 3 stores per shift, handling a mixture of pallets, totes, or cages.
  • Trunk trailers around the UK, swapping or live loading/unloading as required.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of goods to designated loading areas and verify delivery paperwork.
  • Collect empty trays, pallets, or cages as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow company procedures and accurately complete all paperwork.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid C+E License.
  • Hold a valid Tacho and CPC card.
  • No more than 6 points on your license (no DD's, DR's, TT's, or IN's).
  • Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience.
  • Assessment required prior to starting.
Location:

This position is commutable from Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, and Chepstow.
