We are currently seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, working in the Children and Young People's Mental Health service.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and young people, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage referrals. The role will involve working with a range of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers.

The trust offers a comprehensive development programme for Specialty Doctors, providing opportunities for professional growth and development. The role will also involve contributing to the development of the service, through participation in quality improvement initiatives and service development projects.

About The Team

The team comprises a team leader, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, assistant psychologists, administrators, and a child psychotherapist. The team is committed to providing high-quality care to children and young people, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this commitment.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • Section 12 approved
  • At least 3 years' experience in psychiatry
