Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assessor/Tutor to join our team at Imperial Recruitment Group. As an Assessor/Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning and development programs to our clients, ensuring they achieve their qualification standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conduct, and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and develop individual learning plans.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers, and agencies to recruit learners.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of agreed learning aims and objectives.
  • Assess knowledge, skills, and behaviors, and deliver and assess Functional Skills and competencies within the program.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of learners and assist them to achieve NVQ qualifications and the Qualification Standard.
  • Develop business with existing employers and identify new opportunities.
  • Work in a team to plan and deliver a structured scheme of work and develop lesson plans that meet the learning needs of learners.
  • Support the continued evaluation of learning needs and objectives through regular review and attendance at best practice groups.
  • Comply with contractual standards, emphasizing recruiting participants, managing retention, and achievements.
  • Establish a purposeful learning environment where learners feel safe, secure, confident, and valued.
  • Meet targets and support the organization in delivering its corporate strategy.
  • Monitor and review learners' progress in the workplace to ensure the achievement of qualification standards.
  • Achieve and progression rates as per contractual requirements.
  • Accurately and timely complete paperwork, such as Learner Contact Reports, Reviews, Questionnaires, and enrolment documentation.
Requirements
  • Level 6 Information Advice and Guidance - Essential
  • English and Maths GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent - Essential
  • TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards - Essential
  • Teaching qualification - Essential
  • Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willing to work towards - Desirable
  • Practical occupational experience as required by Code of Practice and relevant awarding bodies - Essential
  • Experience of working in a commercial setting - Essential
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets - Essential
  • Proven track record of imparting skills and learning to others - Essential
  • Knowledge of monitoring subcontracted provision - Desirable
  • Must have use of a car and hold a current driving license - Essential
  • Be able to work flexible hours and locations as required - Essential
