English Teacher Opportunity in Ashford, Kent

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Ashford, Kent. As an English teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, fostering a love of English literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver dynamic English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  3. Support students in achieving their full potential in GCSE English, promoting a love of learning and literacy.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  5. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education.
  6. Attend parent-teacher conferences and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, promoting a sense of community and shared responsibility.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary English.
  2. Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  5. A genuine passion for teaching and student success, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
