The Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial all-rounder to help realize the strategic priority of Shoosmiths Eight, a connected services initiative that aims to broaden the firm's offering and provide holistic business solutions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of skills, including product development, project management, and strategic management.

Main Responsibilities

The role is diverse and flexible, with a focus on developing and maintaining connected services products (75%) and supporting the Director in commercial aspects (25%). Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new and existing connected services products
  • Leading and managing the product development lifecycle
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and operational efficiency
  • Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting operational delivery of products
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Providing regular updates and reports to senior management
Commercial Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist the Director with strategic planning, embed the new strategy for Eight, and promote the initiative internally. They will also assist with new product suggestions, building business cases, and meeting potential partners and suppliers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set, including product development, project management, and strategic management. Experience in front office or working in close support of front office is preferred, as is risk awareness and stakeholder management. An entrepreneurial outlook and interest in innovation are key.
