Research Methods Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Research Methods to join our UK Research Methods team at Verian Group.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work across our client base, providing ad hoc support to other members of the UK Methods team and focusing on complex data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply statistical skills and methodological knowledge to various research projects
- Client work: complex sampling, weighting, and multivariate analysis/interpretation of substantive data
- Development work: investigation of new statistical techniques, software packages, and routines, and reviewing methodological literature
- Business generation work: contributing to the methodological shape of proposed research projects and drafting bid documents
- Provide ad hoc support to the Methods team and the division as a whole
Requirements:
- Solid formal qualifications in a relevant topic
- Substantial track record of working with survey, administrative, and other large-scale datasets
- Detailed knowledge and experience of sample design and bias analysis
- Robust applied knowledge of generalized linear modeling techniques
- Experience of providing verbal and written advice to research commissioners
- Able to deliver on time and to specification
