About the Job

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or lab technician looking to expand their skillset in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic antibodies against various oncology targets.

The successful candidate will have exposure to protein engineering, high-throughput screening, and protein science techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purify antibody and antigen proteins using AKTA and other automated platforms
  • Generate antibody and antibody fragment reagents using bacterial and mammalian expression systems
  • Maintain inventory of protein reagents and support supply to the wider team
  • Perform molecular biology tasks such as restriction digest and golden gate cloning
  • Operate and maintain state-of-the-art laboratory equipment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of current protein expression and purification methods
  • Experience with protein purification and AKTA instrumentation (desired)
  • Knowledge of biochemical and/or cell-based assay systems
  • Interest in learning phage display technology and its application in antibody discovery programs

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
