Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Specialist to join our team at Bioscript Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our information strategy and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Support defining, prioritizing, and executing the BDI strategy in alignment with the company's goals and mission.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights across research, development, and commercialization.

  • Communicate evolving BDI strategies and outcomes clearly to stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding.

  • Establish and enforce standard practices around delivery processes with version and change control.

  • Stay current with emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in information services to drive innovation within the company.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational and scientific aspects of project deliverables with limited support from senior team members.

  • Take responsibility for managing the delivery of specific deliverables and ensure the development of clear, accurate, and grammatically correct written work to meet project/client briefs, timelines, and budgets.

  • Develop a working knowledge of processes applied by Bioscript Data Insights and the broader organization to take documents from inception to sign-off efficiently while ensuring high quality.

  • Support project management by monitoring the progress of all assigned projects against agreed schedules and budget specifications and advising senior team members of necessary changes to project specifications/budgets.

  • Proactively share ongoing training and development as appropriate to support knowledge transfer across the team.

  • Utilize project management skills to manage competing projects.

  • Take responsibility for ensuring optimum use of own time, managing capacity or bottlenecks across the team to allocate resources efficiently.

  • Actively identify potential new projects to contribute to organic business growth.

  • Contribute to new business activities to support the future growth of Bioscript Data Insights.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with and understanding of industry guidelines, codes of practice, and legislation.

  • Ensure adherence to agreed client/Bioscript standard operation procedures.

About You:

  • A Ph.D. or master's degree in library/information services/management or equivalent experience.

  • A proven track record of delivering library service projects.

  • Strong expertise in systematic literature reviews, key external expert identification, congress, or other library services.

  • Proficiency in developing and executing search strategies across deliverables.

  • Familiarity with best-in-class databases, including PubMed, Clinicaltrials.gov, and paid databases.

  • Familiarity with biological and clinical data types and their challenges.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
