About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in servicing a number of primary schools in the Sunbury area. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to children with a range of needs, including challenging behavior, ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and other needs on the spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with special educational needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation, as needed
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months primary school experience
- Good spoken English
- Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
