InHealth is seeking a skilled MRI Radiographer to join our Radiography Department in Sandwell, West Bromwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring the best standard of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a great experience for patients attending MRI scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to results
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment and taking appropriate action
- Respecting and working within patients' customs, values, and spiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and taken into account
- Performing triage functions of referrals, as required
- Supporting patient bookings and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information systems
- Completing competency assessments
- Adhering to all operational procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Sharing knowledge and clinical experience with the wider team to support each other's growth and development
Requirements:
- BSc Radiography or equivalent
- Membership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration (HCPC)
- Good understanding of fundamental MRI physics and different scanning techniques and sequences
- Proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer's role regarding the care of patients, their careers, and other colleagues
- High level of professionalism and technical standard of work
- Aptitude towards improving quality
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles, and GDPR
- Flexible approach to work and ability to work across 7 days (Mon-Sun)
- Strong team player attitude, being supportive, caring, reliable, and trustworthy
- Ability to be calm when working under pressure and in a busy environment
- Positive attitude, taking pride in their work, and passionate about the service they provide
- Passion for developing their career in radiography and working towards new milestones
Requirements and Experience:
- Experience working with MRI equipment in either a hospital or mobile setting
- Basic and routine MRI examinations, with the ambition to learn more complex scans
- Different courses such as infection control training, manual handling, basic life support
- Scanning with contrast, or be enthusiastic to learn
- Health and safety policies and procedures with imaging equipment
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team
