Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Engineering Recruitment PDQ. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing processes for our Production Department. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing efficient and high-quality production processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency and quality standards.
  • Monitor and improve production processes to minimize defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and material defects.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements, cost reductions, and waste minimization using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production staff, including training on new equipment and processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Production Engineering role, preferably in sensors or related manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of production.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing process improvements.
