Director of Audiences and Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as Director of Audiences and Engagement. As a key member of our Executive team, you will be responsible for driving audience growth, enhancing customer experience, and leading our marketing efforts to promote Glyndebourne's world-class opera productions.
Key Responsibilities- Audience Growth and Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to increase audience attendance and membership, leveraging data insights and market research to inform our approach.
- Customer Experience: Lead the design and implementation of exceptional customer experiences across all touchpoints, from ticket purchase to post-performance engagement.
- Marketing Leadership: Craft and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with our artistic vision and organisational goals, leveraging digital, print, and social media channels to boost visibility and engagement.
- Brand Management: Develop and safeguard the Glyndebourne brand across all platforms and touchpoints, ensuring consistency in brand presentation and messaging.
- Leadership and Team Development: Proven experience in leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Marketing and Customer Experience Expertise: Strong commercial drive, motivated by stretching growth targets, with a track record of driving audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness through strategic marketing.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of inspiring teams and colleagues to achieve ambitious goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical capabilities informing data-assisted decision-making, with the ability to communicate insights to colleagues from different traditions.
