An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospitals Sussex, in the role of a Maintenance Assistant. This position offers the chance to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team based within the Estates Department.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and safety of St Richards Hospital grounds including emptying bins, removal of vegetation, weeding and maintenance of hospital grounds.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas and workshops by carrying out plant room cleaning and maintaining plant areas at all times.
- Complete regular utilities meter readings for water, gas, electricity.
- Record accurately and participate in the effective running of a Labour Management system.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Experience in Gardening and Grounds Maintenance is highly desirable.
- Good interpersonal skills and evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles are also required.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Flexible working options may be available. A DBS check will be required for this role. Applications are welcome from candidates who meet the Visa and Immigration eligibility criteria.
