Machine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team at 2 Sisters Scunthorpe.
- This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex machinery to ensure optimal production levels.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to plan and prioritize workload.
- Support operations to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure good working relationships and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Set up and configure machinery according to production requirements.
- Monitor machinery during operation to identify and resolve any issues that may affect production.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and technical problems to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments performed using our CMMS (Shire Systems).
- Prepare reports on machine performance, efficiency, and any incidents/malfunctions encountered.
- Comply with all company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce losses and improve overall efficiency.
- Hold 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a Science.
- Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Have good computer skills and be proficient in using CMMS systems.
- Work well as part of a team and be innovative in problem-solving.
- Have a good attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records.
