Green Cat Renewables Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Active problem-solving with project stakeholders to manage and mitigate renewable projects' electrical elements.
  • Providing electrical input and managing Balance of Plant Contractors, ICP, and Suppliers.
  • Preparing and reviewing electrical scopes of work and specifications for tendering.
  • Reviewing electrical designs by contractors and EPCs.
  • Providing electrical assistance to Project Managers in relation to electrical works.
  • Electrical technical assistance across GCR's departments.
Requirements:
  • BEng or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • ~3+ years' experience in managing renewable projects' electrical elements and respective teams.
  • Performing sizing calculations for electrical equipment.
  • Preparing cabling layouts and schedules.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers' bids and contractors' proposals technically and commercially.
  • Knowledge of the UK Grid Code and ENA G99 engineering requirements.
  • Software-based modeling and simulation in ETAP/PSCAD/PSSE/DigSILENT/CDEGS.
  • MEng or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • ~5+ years' experience in managing renewable projects' electrical elements and respective teams.
  • Chartered Electrical Engineer status.
  • Valid Driving License and willingness to travel when required.
  • Knowledge of North American (Canada/USA) Electrical codes/standards is an asset.
