About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Specialist Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team in Maidstone.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical leadership skills, with experience of working with children and young people with mental health needs. They will be expected to provide senior medical support to the team, direct input on clinical cases, and guidance and supervision to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Maidstone.
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Offer guidance and supervision to junior staff members.
  • Liaise with external CAMHS mental health providers, acute hospitals, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Be responsible for patients allocated to them, assessing, managing, planning, and delivering care.
  • Support peers and the team manager while working on their own initiative.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You should also have experience of working with children and young people with mental health needs.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £76,000 to £107,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
