About the Role

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Town Planner or Senior Town Planner with strong commercial awareness and technical proficiency to lead key client projects and provide in-depth planning expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary contact, delivering planning advice and guiding projects from inception to completion.
  2. Team Development: Supervise and mentor team members, supporting professional growth and technical excellence.
  3. Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts through participation in bids and project proposals.
  4. Project Oversight: Manage project segments, meeting deadlines and budget goals, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  5. Application Submissions: Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-application inquiries while conducting thorough site appraisals.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with community members, committees, contractors, and stakeholders to secure positive project outcomes.
  7. Innovative Solutions: Continuously improve services and outcomes through creative and efficient approaches to client needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Education: RTPI-accredited degree or master's in Planning or a related field.
  2. Professional Membership: Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it is preferred.
  3. Experience: Minimum two years in a relevant planning role within the public or private sector.

With a focus on regional expertise, specialized knowledge, and strong client relationships, we offer competitive salaries and benefits packages. The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
