Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Lodge at Glendorn. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our main kitchen dish area and other Food and Beverage kitchen prep areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware.
  • Sort and wash soiled ware in the dishwashing machine or by hand, adhering to food safety codes and regulations.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize all pots and pans.
  • Collect and dispose of trash from kitchen areas, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist in food preparation and storage, and maintain a clean and safe environment for food handling.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of food safety codes and regulations.
