Job Overview

The role of Senior Buyer Key Accounts sits within the Mitie Energy procurement team and reports directly into the Head of Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop strong working relationships with key account customers.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate product and pricing.
  • Articulate value for money solutions and produce numerical and written analysis of tender bid responses.
  • Ensure relevant systems and databases are kept up to date with high-quality information.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulatory changes and have expert knowledge of cost elements that make up a supply contract.
  • Recognize contractual risk and have experience in energy procurement, particularly around flexible energy contracts for gas and electricity.

Requirements

  • CIPs qualification or relevant minimum qualifications to work towards a CIPs qualification.
  • Existing CIPs Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply qualification (or above) is desired.
  • Minimum of at least two A-levels (or international equivalent) or a CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate qualification is required.
