We are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager to provide support to a major nuclear infrastructure project, Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will provide contract management and administration of large professional service and construction contracts, support the development and operation of electronic contract management systems, and provide contract and risk management planning and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operating with NEC 3 form of Contract Options A, C and E
  2. Leading commercial negotiations for mechanical and electrical projects
  3. Oversee compliance with all contractual obligations, ensuring timely deliverables and adherence to quality and safety standards
  4. Issuing/reviewing early warning notices
  5. Priced and Assessed Compensation Events
  6. Monthly Commercial Reporting
  7. Updating Risk Registers
  8. Reviewing programmes
  9. Issuing payment certs and valuation assessment of the works

What We're Looking For:
  1. Proficient and proven experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  2. Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management, experience in the Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering (Including Service Contracting) sectors is desired but not essential.
  3. Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management - ideally both pre and post contract.
  4. Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
  5. Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value.
