Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work in an agreed area of Occupational Therapy Services, ensuring provision of quality service to service users. The post holder will work in partnership with health and social care colleagues to deliver clinically effective services that encompass assessment, treatment, and support of people within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to promote independence and well-being in service users.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated services that meet the needs of service users.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address the needs of service users.
  • Provide education and support to service users, families, and caregivers to promote healthy lifestyles and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

Requirements

The post holder will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
