Transport Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at a leading specialist business in Hampshire. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods to specialist areas, planning routes, and scheduling drivers' routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the transportation of goods to specialist areas
• Plan and optimize routes to ensure efficient delivery
• Schedule drivers' routes and ensure timely delivery
• Liaise with clients to ensure their requests are met and updates are provided in case of any issues
• Liaise with drivers to ensure smooth delivery of goods within agreed time frames and manage any issues that arise
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure accurate information

Requirements:

• Previous experience in transport and logistics
• Experience in route planning (although this can be taught)
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of organization and administration skills
• Good geographical knowledge of Hampshire
• Flexibility and adaptability to change
