Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Wakefield. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple residential developments, ranging from £20 million to £150 million+.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts for each project.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and value engineering.
  • Conduct regular site visits and attend project meetings to provide financial updates and support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within PLC housing or large-scale residential projects.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with experience in projects ranging from £20 million to £150 million+.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, financial analysis, and contractual procedures.
