Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our team in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in leading teams and managing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers to develop and implement departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that the team is meeting its goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a mechanical engineering department.
  • Extensive experience in the development of consumer-based products.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering software.
  • Proficient in CAD design tools 2D / 3D (CREO, SolidWorks), mechanical simulation tools (ANSYS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The tenacity to achieve challenging goals.
  • An analytical thinker with a logical and methodical approach to identifying issues and solutions.
