Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at TechnipFMC. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for supporting the establishment of manufacturing processes, improving process efficiency, and ensuring high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, with a focus on small bore tube welding.
  • Collaborate with the global engineering team to manage quality notifications, procedural updates, design reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Review and analyze in-house raw material test reports and supplier reports, and circulate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of process optimization and the welding process/Subsea Distribution products.
  • Attend to troubleshooting for process improvement and rectification, and coordinate with procurement for technical clarifications and justifications.
  • Coordinate with planning to understand forecast and execution strategy, and with procurement for raw material requirements.
  • Review and approve process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and other relevant documents.

Requirements

  • Must possess a clear understanding of general math and the ability to read, write, and comprehend English and Hindi.
  • Ability to comprehend technical drawings, BOMs, operation and maintenance procedures, quality and safety documents.
  • Must be well-versed with Small Bore tube welding process and familiar with Subsea distribution products (UTA, Cobra head, Logic cap, HDM, SDU).
  • Must be familiar with API and ASTM codes, and pressure codes and standards.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Subsea distribution product lines and assembly and testing processes.
  • Must have clear understanding and working experience with measuring and monitoring tools, such as OD/ID meters, hardness testers, PG/PT, temperature gauges, etc.
  • Exposure to shop floor environments is mandatory.
  • Must have clear application understanding of heavy-duty hydraulic equipment, such as hydraulic presses, CNC machines, ovens, milling machines, cranes, and material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC setup and automation is considered an advantage.
  • Must be trained on operating overhead cranes, and operating knowledge (with valid license) of forklifts is an added advantage.
  • Must be aware of industrial safety standards and able to perform dimensional inspections for heavy-weight oil and gas equipment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP roles for process/manufacturing engineers is required.
  • Sound knowledge of material handling and assembly and pressure testing processes is essential.
  • Working knowledge of lean implementation, VSMs, and shop floor digitization is considered an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of work experience in industry or relevant work experience of 8 years in industry with diploma.
