About the Role

Murphy is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor Specialist to join our team in Kentish Town. This exciting opportunity will see you working alongside our experienced engineers, utilising your expertise in utility surveying to deliver high-quality results.

We pride ourselves on being a sector-leading employer, and as part of our Geomatics team, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of infrastructure projects, including gas above ground installations (AGIs), High Voltage Substations, clean water and wastewater treatment sites, and rail.

Job Responsibilities
  • Undertake high-quality utility surveys in various environments using cutting-edge EM and GPR technologies and equipment.
  • Visit sites and meet with clients to provide quotations and support during the tendering stage of larger projects.
  • Advise projects within the wider business on the best survey methods to meet project requirements.
  • Handle, process, and interpret geospatial data within the sub-surface environment.
  • Support other team members and survey specialisms as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Practical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Possess the ability to manage your own workload effectively and work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and/or N4ce.
  • Site experience working across different infrastructure types, including AGIs, HV substations, clean water and wastewater treatment sites, and rail (desirable).
