Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner:
•Provides high-quality patient care in emergency situations, working independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
•Enhances the quality of life for patients and their families, consulting and collaborating with other healthcare providers
•Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing care
•Maintains and advances clinical competence
•Participates in designated hospital committees and approved research projects as assigned
This is a Casual Opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary, with shifts scheduled days and nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.
•Effective hourly wage: $41.42 to $55.91 per hour, effective April 1, 2024.
About this location/unit:
East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) is a leading healthcare facility in Cranbrook, British Columbia, providing hospital services to the East Kootenay Health Service Area and caring for over 80,000 patients annually. Our Emergency Department features a 16-bed ED, including a Trauma room, with patients ranging from walking wounded to trauma, pediatrics, and psychiatric cases. We work closely with the High Acuity Response Team and outlying facilities, with frequent transfers via helicopter pad and STARS (Alberta Flight).
