About the Role
As a Nurse Educator - Healthcare Support Worker Development, you will play a key role in leading, supporting, and coordinating the development of education programmes for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) within University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities will include coordinating education activities and assessments of learning for HCSWs in classroom settings and clinical areas, working alongside clinical educators, and facilitating induction programmes, including delivering the National Care Certificate Programme.
You will be an accessible and approachable point of contact for HCSWs and their managers, supporting them in developing their skills and knowledge, and promoting the development of their careers within the Trust.
Key duties will include monitoring and supporting Band 3 HCSW Education Facilitators, working with ward and department teams to enable HCSWs to develop and fulfill their potential, and managing and facilitating the recruitment and induction processes of HCSWs new to the Trust.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all Trust HCSWs successfully complete the mandatory National Care Certificate standards.
