Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at Westlake Ace Hardware. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware to customers
  • Proactively assist customers in solving problems and answering questions
  • Greet customers entering and throughout the store, thank them when finished, and when they are leaving the store
  • Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively
  • Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management
  • Assist customers throughout the store with personalized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store
  • Assist with maintaining back stock levels and daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area
  • Operate a forklift with proper training
  • Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow-up
  • Participate in store meetings and be professional in appearance and actions

Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Formal retail experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb

Compensation

$12 - $14 / hour
