Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Acute Therapy team. As a junior occupational therapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in working with adults with complex occupational therapy needs.
The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to develop extended skills and enhanced practice within vascular services, including following amputation. You will work as part of a dynamic therapy team who cover medical, cardiology, haematology, surgical, critical care, and front door services.
This role provides a unique opportunity to develop a full and rich understanding of our vascular and surgical patients' journey, from emergency admission to their transition home. You will work holistically across professional boundaries, service development, and opportunities to work alongside a range of experienced professionals both within the hospital and community.
Main Duties- Assess, manage, and treat patients with a variety of acute presentations affecting their performance status, effectively and independently.
- Set goals and evaluate outcome measures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Work effectively in a team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills to engage with patients, relatives, carers, and staff.
- Produce clear written documentation of interventions and reports.
- Experience of working as an occupational therapist.
- Ability to drive and hold a clean driver's license.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent requests and changes to plans and work under pressure.
