Job Description

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Safeguarding and Support Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers, ensuring that vulnerable children and their families receive responsive services that safeguard and promote their welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the social work team, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with legislation, guidance, and local policy and procedures.
  • Service Delivery: Ensure the delivery of services to children, young people, and their families, in line with statutory timescales and requirements.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including the children's division and voluntary sector, to ensure multi-agency assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and review effective workload management and ensure performance management and quality of case work are maintained.
  • Professional Development: Ensure the requirements of appropriate childcare legislation and guidance are understood by all members of staff, and disseminate this information during team meetings and supervision.
Requirements:
  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing social care services for children and families.
  • Experience of providing supervision and consultation.
  • Significant experience in providing social care services for children and families.
  • Experience of being involved in developing and monitoring services.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
