Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civils Principal Engineer to join our Policy & Standards Team as a Senior Civil Engineering Project Lead - Transmission Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects that ensure the design of the transmission network and equipment used operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with relevant legislation.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline, Chartered Engineer status, and extensive experience in designing, specifying, constructing, operating, and maintaining civil infrastructure. Strong organisation and project management skills are essential, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact across various areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects to ensure the design of the transmission network and equipment operates safely and reliably
  • Provide technical guidance and advice on scope of works, specification, and supplier selection
  • Collaborate with Asset Management and Operations teams to ensure civil capability meets business needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline
