Autism Support Assistant

EdEx is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Autism Support Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or an individual passionate about ASD to start their career in education or gain valuable experience in a specialist setting.

About the Role
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work alongside a motivated team of specialist teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to provide support for pupils with various Special Educational Needs. Your key responsibilities will include managing the classroom environment, creating engaging activities, and delivering tailored programmes to pupils using the extensive equipment at the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs
  • Work alongside specialist teachers and therapists to deliver tailored programmes and activities
  • Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and inclusive learning space
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans
