Senior Cost Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Cost Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of project cost budgets, as well as the tracking, management, and reporting of project expenditure to ensure robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project cost budgets and change estimates
  • Prepare cost reports and track actual and forecasted costs
  • Manage project budgets and actual costs
  • Support the management and development of the Cost team
  • Identify areas of best practice and drive continuous improvement within the Cost team

Requirements:

  • Typically requires an ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
  • Relevant cost experience, including TAR & Outage cost control
  • Excellent knowledge of cost software and related principles, tools, and techniques
  • Excellent understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
  • Strong understanding of change management and associated cost and schedule processes
  • Strong understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending, and what-if scenarios
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles and techniques
  • Strong understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
