Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim In-House Counsel to join our team at Triumph Consultants Limited. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide specialist legal advice to clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in the public sector, expertise in in-house counsel, and the ability to advise on contracts and draft agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • The role requires ensuring that legal advice and services provided are cost-effective and of high quality.
  • Provide customer-focused, high-quality, and responsive specialist legal advice in relation to at least one area of local authority legal expertise.
  • Deliver a variety of types of legal work expected within that specialism.
  • Procure external legal advisers and oversee their advice to protect the interests of partner councils.
  • Provide creative legal solutions to support service transformation and change.
  • Carry an extensive case load of complex and sensitive matters.
  • Manage cases considered highly complex or organisationally high profile.
  • Provide innovative solutions to deal with complex issues arising in connection with team work and client needs.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide management and leadership to staff working on cases.


Salary: £40.16 per hour (PAYE basis), depending on experience.
