About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join our team at Swindon Borough Council. As a Community Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering our Health Visiting service offer, working closely with the Named Health Visitor and Early Years Family Practitioners to empower Children, Young People and Families to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer Healthy Child Programme contacts and identify when extra help may be required
  • Provide the appropriate support or signposting as needed under the direction of the named Health Visitor
  • Build effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including children, young people, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver the Health Visiting service offer
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health promotion initiatives
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse with a current NMC registration and up-to-date revalidation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to travel throughout Swindon, with a car driver preferable
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
