Electrical Systems Technician

As an Electrical Systems Technician at Microlise, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and support of our products in the field. Your key duties will include:
- Visiting customer sites to undertake installation, service, and support tasks
- Completing survey visits to identify suitable solutions
- Conducting QA visits on our products and peripherals in customer assets
- Managing inventory and ensuring the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and tools
- Liaising with customers at all levels and providing support to your peers and contractor resource where required
- Ensuring administration is concise, accurate, and professional
- Adhering to all internal processes and procedures
- Reporting on statistical information when required
Key requirements for this role include:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably in auto electrics and/or telematics
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules
- An understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and the ability to interpret these
- Strong customer service skills with a professional approach
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences
- The ability to work autonomously, solve problems independently, and adhere to agreed processes
- Taking pride in your work, ensuring quality and accuracy
- A valid passport for travel
Our Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, to suit the requirements of our customers. Full details regarding our working patterns can be discussed at the interview stage. This is a field-based role covering the Maidstone area, however, our Head Office is based in Nottingham and you will be required to visit Head Office on an ad-hoc basis in line with business needs.
