Senior HR Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Operations Manager to join our public sector client on a fixed-term contract until July 2026.
Sector and Location
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 1-2 days a month onsite in the Hybrid - 1-2 days a month onsite location.
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the HR support and administrative teams, focusing on delivering a colleague-centric service, offering support and guidance to all colleagues. They will work alongside the Advisory and Recruitment operations managers to provide people support services, optimising team performance and driving service efficiency and effectiveness through process development and best practice.
- Lead, manage and develop team managers to build and retain a highly engaged skilled and capable team to meet business needs.
- Manage day-to-day services, ensuring key business targets, SLAs and KPIs are met.
- E nsure legal and technical compliance obligations are adhered to.
- Manage workload allocations and capacity planning to ensure that customers are responded to efficiently and effectively via their preferred channel of communication.
- Collaborate with the broader People Hub teams and stakeholders to support the ongoing development of efficient HR processes, systems, and resources that enable and support colleague and manager self-service.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to foster broader organisational learning and business acumen.
- Support the ongoing review, development, and implementation of core HR systems, processes, and operational change projects.
- Develop, produce, and analyse data and performance MI that supports data-driven decision making and service efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
- Experience in leading and managing operational teams in an HR Shared Service environment.
- Experience in performance management, resource planning, and processes and service optimisation.
