The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to join our growing and ambitious Construction team at Stone King. The team has experienced recent growth and investment, making it an ideal time to join and contribute to its success. This role is based in our Bath office, with hybrid working arrangements available and occasional travel to other locations or off-site as client demands require.
About the RoleThis role offers the chance to develop your career within a highly regarded national firm, working with a high-calibre client base from the outset. You will work closely with our nationally recognized Education team, which is ranked Tier 1 and receives outstanding recognition from clients, as endorsed by individual rankings in Chambers and Legal 500. In addition to Education work, you will have the opportunity to get involved in other non-contentious construction matters from our other sectors, particularly the Charity and Business Sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively manage an individual caseload (with supervision where appropriate).
- Attend to clients of the Firm in the office or elsewhere if needed.
- Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate team and wider firm environment.
- Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients.
- Maintain your continuing professional development requirements and take an active interest in furthering your knowledge within the field of law.
- To carry out your work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard, having regard to the firm's standards, procedures, and core values.
- To regularly attend, and be involved in preparation for, team meetings.
- To attend and be involved in preparation for marketing and business development events and activities.
- A qualified Solicitor or Barrister working in a well-regarded firm, and have experience in contentious construction matters in both High Court and County Court and ADR.
- A strong commitment to career development and further learning.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- IT proficient.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
