First Point Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering efforts on large-scale data centre projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical engineering efforts on data centre projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to stakeholders, including clients and colleagues across various disciplines.
  • Verify and review design work completed by other engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
  • Manage and oversee prefabrication, modular construction, and manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality in project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in data centre infrastructure.
  • Extensive expertise in electrical design, including utility substations, power distribution systems, UPS, and backup power systems.
  • Proven knowledge of electrical safety standards and protocols, with experience in SCCAF investigations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data centre electrical systems within set deadlines and budgets.
