Overview of the Role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced therapist to provide leadership and support to a multi-disciplinary team, assisting in the rehabilitation of adults who have suffered from brain injuries.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload and possess specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adults with acquired brain injury
  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve communication outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Achieved Dysphagia Competencies
  • Minimum 4 years of qualified experience in managing complex cases
