Job Title: Automotive Electrical Specialist

At Shorterm Group, we are seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Specialist to join our team. As an Automotive Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking general maintenance and performing operational checks on a busy fleet of Freight Locomotives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake electrical checks and testing, in-depth fault finding, diagnostics and rectification

- Support the mechanical technicians during less busy periods in general maintenance

- Utilise test meters to support the engineering team in providing a swift turn around in the provision of electrical solutions on the locomotive

- Competently use a multi meter and be able to work from and interpret wiring diagrams and other technical instruction

Requirements:

- Technical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or better

- Live within a 1-hour commutable distance from the Leeds (Hunslet) depot

- Must be able to pass a Network Rail related Medical and Drug & Alcohol check
