About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Leaver Support Specialist to join our team at One Manchester. As a Care Leaver Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our care leavers to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the designated Stay Close Coordinator to support care leavers in achieving their employment and skills goals.
- Establish a peer support network with care leavers to provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Deliver group activities and workshops to engage young people and adults in a supportive and engaging way.
- Manage a caseload of care leavers and deliver a high-quality service to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience of working with young people and adults in a supportive and engaging role.
- Knowledge of person-centred and task-centred approaches to case work.
- Experience in delivering group activities and workshops.
- Proven record of ability to effectively engage with customers who have barriers and help them to achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Level 3 qualification in IAG and/or youth engagement equivalent desirable.
