Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to prevent equipment downtime and ensure smooth production.
  • Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and rectification of mechanical issues, working closely with the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendor service teams to address specialized maintenance requirements.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipment.
  • Work towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality, ensuring maximum uptime and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, working to high standards and time constraints.
  • Positive and proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding efficient solutions.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, including outdoor and production area environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work and interact at all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to be on call out of hours on a rota system.
