Job Title: Facilities ManagerWe are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at the Edinburgh Technopole Science Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for actively assisting the Client Director in the management of the park, delivering a first-class service to both occupiers and clients.
The role will involve managing all operations, compliance, marketing, external positioning, and exposure of the park within the academic and industry world, as well as supervising the operational teams and ensuring the highest standards of management, maintenance, and service are maintained.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for authorizing all compliance, promotional works, marketing budgets, and high-level operational activity.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage site communications with occupiers, the wider community, and the scientific community.
- Seek to improve and enhance the delivery of client service.
- Monitor budget performance at a high level across the park.
- Foster relationships with the wider community, including local authorities and government bodies, local businesses, and local and national scientific and business communities.
- Lead from the front, support, and identify change and controls, and enhance change management, representing MAPP and clients' values.
- Ensure compliance with the highest standards, policies, and procedures, working with the site teams and the client to achieve this, and helping set a strategy for the year in conjunction with the Regional Director.
- Proven experience in a similar environment.
- A network of contacts within the industry or academia is preferred.
- Marketing experience.
- Science-based experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience.
- Compiling and managing large service charge budgets.
- Experience managing a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of £37,000 - £46,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a dynamic work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
