Hospital Maintenance Technician

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) is seeking a skilled Hospital Maintenance Technician to join the Estates Technical team at Lincoln Hospital, Lincoln. As part of this team, you will play a proactive role in maintaining the trust's estate in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical plant and services, as well as fault finding within a similar organisation or similar size and complexity organisation. A sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in the built environment is essential, along with the ability to diagnose faults in complicated engineering and building plant and equipment.
You will be working closely with the Estates Team Leader to provide effective maintenance support in the delivery of statutory, planned, and reactive task completion for Estates Services across ULHT sites. The postholder will be expected to work proactively within the team, encourage multi-disciplinary working, and maintain accurate records for reactive and planned activities.
A suitable candidate will have an appropriate City and Guilds Qualification, NVQ3 or equivalent in an Engineering/Plumbing related discipline, and have served an apprenticeship or other recognised training. Experience in a hospital environment, particularly in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, plate heat exchangers, calorifiers, water storage systems, and steam boilers, would be highly desirable.
In return, ULHT offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including job security, stability, development opportunities, and a strong team-focused environment.
